TOWN FESTIVITIES OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ARRAIA-MAEZTU

The following town festivities are celebrated in the municipality of Maeztu:

  • ALECHA: December 26 in honor of San Esteban.
  • APELLANIZ: April 15 in honor of Santo Toribio.
  • ARENAZA: August 28 in honor of San Agustín.
  • ATAURI: July 25 in honor of Santiago Apóstol (Apostle James).
  • AZACETA: July 25 in honor of Santiago Apóstol (Apostle James).
  • CICUJANO: August 29 in honor of San Juan Degollado.
  • KORRES: September 14 in honor of Santa Cruz.
  • IBISATE: December 26 in honor of San Esteban.
  • LEORZA: September 16 in honor of Santa Eufemia.
  • MAEZTU: June 16 in honor of San Adrián.
  • MUSITU: November 11 in honor of San Martín.
  • ONRAITA: June 24 in honor of San Juan.
  • ROITEGUI: June 29 in honor of San Pedro.
  • SABANDO: June 19 in honor of San Gervás.
  • VIRGALA MAYOR: October 6 in honor of the Virgen del Rosario (Virgin of the Rosary). Due to the climate it is held during the third weekend of August.
  • VIRGALA MENOR: June 16 in honor of San Adrián.

CULTURAL AND RELGIOUS EVENTS

The municipality of Arraia-Maeztu is host of the following events:

  • El Jueves de Lardero.
  • Romería a San Fausto.
