Olandina Lagoon is a small, diapiric wetland that is isolated between fields of crops and that is one of the few natural enclaves where you can gaze upon the spectacular blossoming of white water lilies.
Igoroin ravine, a natural wonder, has been carved out of the rocks of the Iturrieta mountains by Musitu creek. It is a clear example of the symmetry of plant life with beech trees in the shady areas and Portuguese oaks in the sunny spots.
Mammals like the edible dormouse, common genet, beech marten, wildcat, and wild boar take refuge in the forests of this municipality. Among the scaled reptiles, the green lizard lives in the leafy forests, moors, and countryside. When it comes to birds, those that stand out are the golden eagle, Peregrine falcon, Egyptian vulture, vulture, middle spotted woodpecker, bat, etc. You will find partridges and quail in the grain fields.
